A Real Winner Chicken Dinner

We have logged in quite a few miles since we got our new shoes this week. I get more normal steps, so I haven’t walked quite as far as Dean in the evenings. I also have been taking classes at the gym. I am doing my best to eat healthy. I am trying with Dean, but he still picks out what he wants for lunches, so I am thinking he might not be making the wisest choices. This exercise thing takes a lot of time! It wears me out, and…read more

New Shoes, New Workout Plan, New Recipe

Posted by in Cooking, Healthier Choices

The New Year usually means changes for most of us. In my last post, here. I did sort of line out my plans for where I want to be at the end of the year, so that meant there would have to be changes. A large part of that is getting fit. Over the last almost two years, I have lost 90 pounds. The first 30, I did with diet and exercise. Then, I got sick with two rounds of shingles. Not the best way to spend the last four…read more

If you know me at all, you know I am a planner, but things seldom go as planned! My intention was to write this yesterday on the first day of 2015. Instead, I spent most of the day trying to revamp the look of the blog. ┬áThat didn’t go too well, so I never got around to writing this. And so, here I am on January 2, 2015 writing about the New Year. I guess that isn’t too late. At least it isn’t March! Lots of time in the car…read more

Isagenix Wrap up

I completed the 30 Day challenge – at least most of it. I had a few days when I didn’t do great. I still ended up losing 10 pounds and over 20 inches! Pretty good! Because of the financial part, I am going to hold off doing it for a while. I still have some of the things and will be using them until I run out. I feel so much better! I will continue to really pay attention to what I eat and take care of my self. I…read more

My IsAgenix Journey

Posted by in Cooking, Healthier Choices, Shaping Up

I have tried so many things to lose weight over the years. Each time I lost, I found it again. I don’t want to find it anymore! I have just over 5 months before I turn 50. I am determined to be fit and fifty instead of fat and fifty! I met Angel on a Central Texas marketing group on facebook. She had been posting before and after photos of people who released their weight. Releasing? That seems to make so much more sense than losing it! She and I…read more

Being Sick Leads to Necessary Lifestyle Changes

Posted by in Cooking, Healthier Choices, Shaping Up, Uncategorized

March is here and I feel like I have missed the last two months. I was really sick. Bronchitis is no fun. Two antibiotics. Six days of steroids plus an inhaler. Tow trips to the doctor – well two initial visits. On visit two, I had an x-ray to see if I had pneumonia. Thankfully, no. However, it did show something else. And so, I saw two more doctors and had a few tests. I now must lose weight, get in shape and take some blood pressure meds. It is…read more
